What information do I need to provide to place a bid?
You will need to fill in your name (it doesn’t have to be your full name), your email address and a phone number where you may be reached.
Some items have a minimum bid requirement, what does that mean?
It means that your bid cannot be lower than the minimum.
If there’s already a bid on an item, are there limitations on what I can bid?
Yes. Your bid must be at least $1 over the prior bid. The system doesn’t prevent it, but we would ask that all bids be in whole dollars only (not dollars and cents).
Can I see the history of bid activity?
Yes. Select the ‘bid’ button. It will show you all the previous bids that have been placed on the item.
How will I know that I won an auction item?
You will receive an email from the auction website notifying you of your winning bid.
What happens if I select the ‘watch’ button?
The system will send you an email letting you know when another bid has been placed.
Why don’t I get the emails from the auction website?
They may be going into your spam or junk folder. Check there.
How long is an auction available?
An active auction will be open for bidding for about one and one-half weeks. The exact dates will be available on the first page of the site.
Will I be able to pay for an item with a credit card?
Not at this time. Payment is by cash or check only at the time of pickup.
Will I be able to have my auction item shipped to me?
No. It is assumed that all auction items will be picked up at the Soroptimist Thrift Shop, at 105 NE 1st St., Enterprise, Oregon.
What days will I be able to pick up my auction pieces?
Thursday from 9AM – 1PM or Friday and Saturday from 9am – 3pm.
Can someone else bid for me if I don’t have a computer or email address?
Yes. But all communication will go to the person who gave us their email address.
How long do I have to pick up an auction item?
You have 2 weeks from the time the auction closes to pick up the item.
What happens if I don’t pick it up within the 2 week time frame?
The item will be offered to the next highest bidder.
Will I be able to see the items displayed at the shop while the auction is still active?
Yes. The auction pieces will not be able to be handled however.
